About the style
What to expect.
Character work has a hard requirement most tattoos don't: it has to look like the character. A portrait of Darth Sidious or a Bloodborne hunter only lands if the likeness, costume detail and lighting are right, which is where a realism background pays off.
The studio has done Star Wars portraits, Dragon Ball, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Warhammer 40,000, Bloodborne, horror icons and band pieces, in both colour and black and grey. One-off pieces work, and so do full themed sleeves built around a franchise.
Bring the exact reference you love, a still, a comic panel, game art, and we design around it. Fans travel for this kind of work; the studio is appointment only in Camden, an easy trip from anywhere in Sydney's south-west.

Common questions
Before
you enquire.
- Can you copy existing character art exactly?
- We work faithfully from your reference, a film still, game render or album art, and adapt it where needed so it reads well as a tattoo. Likeness comes first; we will tell you if a reference will not translate at the size you want.
- Colour or black and grey for character pieces?
- Both work. Colour suits vivid characters like anime and animated pieces; black and grey suits darker franchises and film portraits. Placement, size and how the piece will age all feed the recommendation we send back.
- Can I build a whole sleeve around one franchise?
- Yes, themed sleeves are some of our favourite projects. Star Wars, gaming and horror sleeves all follow the large-scale process: one composition planned up front and built across sessions.
